What Is Direct Billing?
Direct billing means we submit your dental claim to your insurance provider for you, at the time of your appointment, so you only pay the portion your plan doesn’t cover instead of paying the full amount and waiting to be reimbursed.
For most patients with dental coverage, this is the simplest way to use a plan. Instead of paying the full cost upfront and filing a claim yourself, we send the claim electronically while you’re still in the chair. Where your insurer supports direct payment to the dental office, your plan pays its share directly to us, and you settle only the remaining balance.
We accept most major Canadian dental insurance plans, the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), and student health and dental plans from the University of Toronto and Toronto Metropolitan University. Coverage details vary by plan, so we always confirm what applies to you before treatment and give you a clear estimate of any out-of-pocket cost.

Bring your insurance details
Have your plan information or benefits card ready when you book or arrive. For CDCP, bring your member details; for student plans, your student benefits card.
We confirm your coverage
Before treatment, we check what your plan covers and give you a written estimate of any amount you’ll owe — so there are no surprises.
We submit the claim for you
We send your claim electronically to your insurer at the time of your visit. Where direct payment is supported, your plan pays its share directly to us.
You pay only your portion
You settle just the part your plan doesn’t cover. If any treatment isn’t covered, we tell you in advance and discuss your options.

Private & Workplace Insurance
Most major Canadian dental insurers and group benefit plans are accepted. We bill your insurer directly where direct payment is supported, so you pay only your share.
Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)
We accept the federal CDCP and submit claims directly for eligible patients. Eligibility and co-payments are set by the Government of Canada.
UofT & TMU Student Plans
We accept University of Toronto and Toronto Metropolitan University student health and dental plans and bill them directly where available.
You Always Know Your Cost Before Treatment
Coverage limits, annual maximums, and percentages vary from plan to plan. Before we begin any treatment beyond a routine visit, we confirm what your plan covers and give you a written estimate of your out-of-pocket portion.
If a treatment isn’t fully covered, we’ll talk through your options, including phasing treatment over time or financing for larger plans, so cost is never a reason to put off care you need.
